Well it’s like any other me-ologisms be it horoscopes, personality test, Relationship Quizzes, etc… There is some hint of validity but the vagueness is suspicious. They general give something that everyone wants to acknowledge about themselves. Followed by list of things that are some what negative but in a good way. Like going into an interview and saying my flaw is I’m a work-alcoholic. Ending with a future maybe the perfect situation for you.

I believe that the moon affects both humans, animals, gravitation, currants, etc… in such a way that science will never be able to explain. Not unlike during ancient Greece Pythagorean murder Hippasus for the proving irrational numbers . Science will not recognize these until they can fully explain the rationality. I dunno… it just seems that lots of relationships are all about making sure the girl is happy.

And the guy I’m with is.. amazing – he’s sensitive and kind, he’s not pushy or pressuring – he’s basically the perfect boyfriend in text book terms.

But what can I do to give him what he wants? He tells me he loves me and I’m beautiful, whenever he sees me he holds me round the waist and kisses me on the lips, he’s always there for me. What can I do to be like that for him? I hate always being the taker in a relationship. So guys – what can I do for him to let him know I appreciate him, and give as much as he does for me?

Her friends thought we were perfect for each other, but her friends did not even know me, except for my name and some of my jokes. She kept insisting we get together, telling me her friends “all said I was stupid” for not wanting to pursue a relationship with her. I was on the brink either way, I thought I needed time to know. And I took some time, she grew angry or upset, and I never got close to a decision. And finally, she (not without the help of her friends) pressured me into a relationship. I’m not arrogant, but she liked me very much. I meant little less than the world to her. And she’d never had a boyfriend before, and insisted there was no one else who was compatible. So I caved in, and said yes, against my own wishes, but for the sake of keeping her happy. There’s few things I can’t stand, and one of them is making someone extremely sad.

I knew from the beginning we would not be vary compatible. She was dedicated to everything she did, because that’s the way she was raised. She always got 99s or 100s on her tests and quizzes, always did her homework. She was straight forward, devoted to schoolwork, and always felt the need to do better than everyone else. She had to dominate, or else she became upset. She cared about her grades and her work that much. I, on the other hand, was someone who resented rules and guidelines. I lived for freedom, and viewing things with a completely open mind. I only strived to excel in what I truly cared about. (I failed chemistry because I wanted to major in aeronautical science and become a professional pilot.) I just didn’t devote myself, because I truly didn’t care about being better than someone else.

I knew we weren’t compatible, and that our relationship would most likely be rocky. And I pointed that out to her. But she insisted.

Now it’s been about two months, and I can no longer look her in the eyes. I miss her as a friend. Frankly, she was a better friend than a girlfriend to me. But I know that if I can bring myself to tell her this, she will be crushed. So I’m stuck. And I’m beginning to think I’ll have to endure this until we part ways in August, when we go off to different colleges.

It’s just too weird for me. As I said, I see her as a friend. She once told me that she needed someone with a personality completely opposite of her own to “balance her out.” I was always pretty sure I needed someone with a personality more like mine. Now I’m certain, and I don’t know what to do about it. I’m torn between my own happiness, and hers.

If any of you girls can imagine yourselves in this situation, what would you prefer I do? Keep the way I feel a secret and try to be as best a boyfriend as I could, or tell you the truth?
